Country Cottage BnB - Quality accommodation in Dorset

About us

Our thatched cottage is over 300 years old and is built of Dorset Cob and Limestone. It was originally two drover’s cottages that have been made into one and it features original beamed ceilings and an inglenook fireplace with the old bread oven exposed.

We offer you a warm welcome, providing comfortable accommodation in three double rooms with guest bathroom, all equipped with television and beverage making facilities. Bath towels and bath robes are provided as is a hearty English breakfast to make your stay an enjoyable one. Special diets can and will be catered for with prior notice. Breakfast menus are in all rooms – choices from the menu can be ordered the night before.

The cottage is set in a 1/3 acre with views to the rear that take in the Saxon town of Shaftesbury, Dun Cliff Hill and Spread Eagle Hill. Just out of sight but much closer is the impressive Hambledon Hill Fort and Neolithic complex, Hod Hill Fort and Bullbarrow Hill, from where you can see four counties.
